Dr. Shyam is a Consultant Neurosurgeon with nearly 25 years of experience. After completing his under graduation from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University) he pursued M.S. in General Surgery from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (Deemed University) Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Followed by M.Ch. Neurosurgery in the reputed Government Rajaji Medical College and Hospital (Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University). He underwent fellowships in Fellow in Neurosurgery - Royal Melbourne hospital, Melbourne and Functional, Fellow in Epilepsy Surgery - Krishna Institute of medical sciences, Hyderabad and Fellow in Pediatric Neurosurgery - Krishna Institute of medical sciences, Hyderabad. Additionally, he has won the Best paper award - Neurological society of India (Hyderabad)-2015. He is an active member of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry association of Neurosurgeons (TANPANS) - Executive committee member, Neurological Society of India, European Association Of Neurosurgical Societies, Andhrapradesh Neuroscientists Association, Neurological Society of India, Indian Academy of Neurology Association, Indian Medical Association. His area of expertise includes Peripheral Neuro surgery, Cerebrovascular surgery, Spinal and Cerebral Tumor Embolization, Carotid Body Tumour Embolization and Spine surgery etc.
